Dumb name aside, the BMW M6 GranCoupe is a seriously sexy car. Other than the $20k price gap (which is not inconsiderable) I see no reason to pick a normal M5 over this.

I find it very strange that I prefer the 4 door to the 2 door. Not sure why though.

I’ve narrowed my reasoning for liking the gran coupe more is the low roofline mixed with four doors making it look classy as hell. It’s like having something sleek and sexy but also practical like a lady in one of those really tight black dresses. They’re classy but still so gorgeous.

I’d say the gran coupe has overtaken the Maserati in terms of being a hitman-mobile as well. It just looks so sinister.

I have always liked 4-doors, never liked coupes. There’s just something more sensible about them. I’m also a family guy, always have been.

I have yet to see a 6 series of this generation in coupe form yet but I’ve seen countless Gran Coupes, weirdly all of them are 640ds.

I agree the GC looks very nice and in proportion. I'm not the biggest fan of the 5 Series in some instances it looks good and in others it looks like a bloated stubby pig. I would choose the 6GC over both the 5 and the 7 series. It would be hard to pick between the 6GC and the S7/RS7

The gap is pretty large in price, not at all inconsiderable. Also the GC weighs a bit more and is tuned ever so slightly softer. Really just comes down to personal preference. They’re both amazing cars, the M5 and M6 all look amazing this generation.

I find their body kits a bit...over the top, also won’t handle or go like the M. But it is a great car.
